The quiet hamlet of Pré Bérard is ideally situated around 5kms by road above the ancient Roman town of Aime, between Bourg Saint Maurice and Moutiers.
The National Park of the Beaufortin commences a little to the north. The National Park of the Vanoise lies not far to the south.
La Côte d'Aime is a [typically French] thriving and friendly community from which one may enjoy the many famous ski resorts ranging from Val d'Isère to the east to the Three Valleys, including Courchevel and Meribel, westward. There is a small family ski area at Granier a few kilometres further up the road to the north. The nearest major ski areas are Montchavin-les-Coches [normally around 20 minutes by car] and La Plagne, which are part of the immense Paradiski ski domain which includes Les Arcs.

The normally stunning weather that we enjoy here is a major addition to a convivial life. The winter speaks for itself. However, the summers are sensational. There are some people here who refer to La Côte d'Aime as being 'La Côte
d'Azur'. This is simply a superb place to be in the summer, whether for the wide variety of sports on offer or to simply potter around the many markets or fêtes and enjoy the odd glass of wine in the sunshine! The summers here are a gem of the best of
rural French life. A fact quickly being appreciated by more and more people. We, like the other locals, are passionate
about it
Local shopping is at Aime, Bourg St. Maurice or Moutiers. For those desiring more variety there are a greater range of shops and superstores at Albertville [circa 30 minutes by car] and Chambéry [circa 60 minutes by car].
This is a paradise for children, especially if they love the 'outdoors' type of life.
The local primary school is just a few minutes away by school bus or by car in Le Villard. The closest senior school is 'College Jovet' in Aime. There are plenty of other schools, both private and public, nearby. The two local Lycees are situated in Bourg St. Maurice and in Moutiers.
